At the end of 1900 his address was still given as No. 2, Cyrene Villas, Clifton Park Avenue in Belfast, but when the census of Ireland was taken at the end of March 1901, he was living in Ballymurphy Street, in the Falls Ward in Belfast. He published ''Irish Church Hymns and Sonnets'' in 1901. He was appointed as Curate of Seagoe, Portadown, in the diocese of Dromore in 1904, and became Rector of the parish in 1905.
